It was just another day on the coast for Aqua. The Bahiri Betess found herself once again on the look for anything that could help anyone find an answer to her wetting problem. She remained just off shore, but still in range of the sand bars as she laid in the water in case she were to have an accident. At least that way if she did, then others wouldn't notice as much. As much as she knew by now that most weren't bothered by the problem, she still felt embarrassed about it each time it happened because it was so unexpected and that she had no choice but to force them to go through it whenever her body decided that it was time for her to wet. She was also noticing something else in her body. She was approaching that time of season again, and it was always the part of the season that would get her the most down on her self mainly because of her issue and the problems that it has caused for her. She was mate-less, and she could feel her body start coming into heat. she wasn't in the full swing yet, but she knew that it would only be a matter of time, and that it would make her problem even worse during that time. She knew that it had made things worse in years past so it was logical for her to assume that it would do so again. The only thing that she could ever do was hope that one day she could find someone that would be able to look past her problem and see her for what she really was. That was the problem though. Everyone in the clan knew how she was, however no one openly approached her for any talk of the matter or even showed any interest in her. She tied this to her problem as well. After all, why would someone want someone like me when the could fine someone just like me who is healthy and doesn't have an embarrassing problem like I do. She wanted to think that this wasn't the case, but she had been in the clan for her entire life, and every since the accident and her problem made itself apparent. Everyone has looked at her not really differently but with a different expression. she felt an expression of pity, which she was sure that she brought onto herself. Over the last couple years she had started becoming more and more anti-social because of everything, and the only one she felt comfortable around anymore was Amira, her unofficial sister. Amira was the one that always stood by her for everything, and in fact moved in with her once she had the accident and started having her problems to help take care of her a bit and make her more comfortable with everything. Mainly she helped keep the cave clean so that it wouldn't start smelling and causing everyone else to want to avoid her even more than they already did. She knew that she was probably pushing things out of proportion, but that was how she felt, and that was the state of mind that her disability had put her in. She knew that she could be a lot worse off, but still, she didn't like the condition that she was in at all. Especially since she had yet to figure out a way to at least hide her problem. At least for it to allow her to get a mate, of which she could always tell after the fact and hope that he wouldn't abandon her after finding out. That was the only thing she could do was hope, but even that was fading with each passing day as she felt like everything was going to be less and less likely for her. Less likely that she would ever be normal again, and less likely that someone would ever love her because of it. |

Abraxas loved being in the water. Why? Not many people were here today, despite the beautiful weather, so he could just have alone time and enjoy swimming. From what he could tell with the days passing by, this would be his last day out of the den before he would shut himself out from the others, knowing that it would be any day before his next seizure. It would only make him the laughingstock, or everyone would take pity on him because of his health issues. He didn't want their sympathy. All he wanted to do was live in peace and exist by himself. He didn't feel social at all today, even though most of the time he wasn't in the mood for a talk. Most of the time, he would accidentally say something stupid and never be accepted as a friend. Abraxas could feel his muscles tire. He had been out since before dawn, training himself like usual. He figured it was time to head in, but he'd need to get a hunt first. Being in a den for two to five days was never fun of you had an empty stomach. He wasn't in the mood for sushi today, so he'd find some deer or mountain lion near his mountain den. They were harder to kill, more of a competition than the fish out here. Maybe he was too good at swimming. But being one here where the sound waves were jumbled up, just made him so relaxed and at home. So he swam in the direction of the shore, keeping along the bottom even as it rose to the surface. Once he was able to, he started walking along it but in very slow motion. Swimming and walking in the water were two very different things. His muscles worked the way he expected them to, along with the snail like speed. When he reached the surface, he snorted out the water in his mouth and nose, shaking his body off of the excesse water. His white talons were caked with sand, so he kicked them off. He wasn't a fan of hunting with water and sand left on his body. He wasn't able to manouver as easily and feel comfortable like he should with his techniche. Then a scent picked his smell up. He narrowed his eyes, looking around him in the direction of the scent. It was a female, who was almost in full heat, but some of the scent was masked by water. That's when he noticed the light blue dragoness laying in the shallow water, enjoying the water and slight breeze. He sniffed again. The scent and look of the dragoness was somewhat familiar. He didn't know her name, but he had seen her around a lot on the clanlands. Never had he asked anyone of her. He had no reason to. But he was closer to her then meant to, and he knew she probably already noticed him. Turning back would be impolite and disrespectful. She was actually more beautiful closer up than what he had seen her from before. He had never felt this kind of way before, even with a little interest like this. Her being in heat may have spiked things up, but the way she looked wasn't all that bad, either. He wasn't that far away from her; ten yards at the most. So, Abraxas gave a little cough before walking over to her. He wasn't sure what to do, but once she caught his eye, he gave her a quick smile before looking away. He faced the ocean, taking in deep breaths of her strangely enticing scent. |

A small gust of wind blew through the cloudless sky sending an extra rush of water in her direction. The calming waters of the ocean always made her feel better about herself. The ocean was the one place where she could always be herself because no one would notice if she had an accident. She knew that it would disperse in the water that surrounded her and no one would notice anything unless they were right next to her, and even then the only thing they could noticed was that the water would have gotten a bit warmer for a brief second or two. She looked up feeling a little bit better and was ready to start the real part of the day. As the betess, she still had her responsibilities to the clan, and they were the one thing that she never slacked on regardless of any problem. She knew that the safety of clan rested on whatever she did, as ell as everyone else. It was her responsibility to make sure that all the in coming storms got tracked and it was her job to make sure that the currents and the tides were safe as well as watch out for any sign of a possible red tide as well, which was as poisonous to them as any other marine animal. Through the gust of wind though she was able to pick up the scent of another that was in the area, and he was male. This heightened her already elevated senses, but she made sure to try to keep them in check as much as possible. She knew that there wasn't any chance he'd fall for her, and as soon as he found out about her secret he would simply ignore her like the other males have. She watched as he approached and landed in the water not too far from her, but not entirely close to her either. He turned his head slightly from her and she noticed a brief smile right before doing so. No doubt he noticed that she was in heat. Not even the water was able to mask it completely. That made her wonder though.... that if she should have one of her moments, if he would be able to pick up that scent as well. This made her much more uncomfortable and focusing on her lower half a lot more turning to look just behind her wings just to make sure the water wasn't changing colors around her. She knew it wasn't getting warmer but she was self conscious about it now. She looked at him and smiled. He was almost a ash black, not anything thing really deep, and the scales on the underside of his neck leading down his chest were just a bit lighter. Hello, she told him in kind of a soft voice. It was evident that she was nervous, and she knew that he could smell her scent. If she could smell it, she was certain that he could. I apologize in advance... I just can't help it... she told him in advance both because of her being in an uncontrollable heat and because she knew it was only a matter of time before her body decided to let go of itself. She wanted him to be at least somewhat prepared. She knew that he would most likely ask what she meant now, and she would most likely have to explain it to him. It was rude to mention something and then leave someone in the dark if they asked. |

In the corner of his eye, he noticed the dragoness take a closer look at him. He didn't look back at her, afraid he would make her uncomfortable. He didn't want her to stop looking at him, because he wouldn't want to be interrupted if he was looking at another creature. But he did notice her looking around in the water, more towards her lower half. He let out another uncomfortable cough, finally laying down in thr shallow water right where he was. Abraxas wasn't sure if she was crazy or something, but it was weird. She said hello to him, but she also did something he was confused about. She apologized, for something he didn't know about, something that was going to happen in the near future. Though he was immensly confused and curious about her reasoning, he didn't press her further. He didn't want to make a bad impression like he always did. So he tried to start a conversation. Hello... My name's Abraxas. What are you doing out here alone? I always see you with friends and such. Abraxas wasn't sure why he gave her his name, but it was better than staying anonymous. Better to let it out now than later. He also didn't want her to think he was some rapist. They were the only ones on the beach, and his black scales could be intimidating at times. |

Aquaria was very self-conscious about herself right now. With her heightened arousal just because that there was a male next to her and because she knew that because of it, the chances of her having an accident was almost doubled. This made her more nervous than anything. she didn't want to have an accident right now, not with a new male near by. She caught herself though and noticed that she was looking around herself too much and was probably making him uncomfortable. She then heard him tell her his name, and heard him mention that he noticed that she was normally with friends, but she was alone today. This made her a little less worried about him, but still even more worried about herself. I always come out here in the morning like this before everyone wakes up... I do so because of a certain problem that I have. Almost everyone in the clan knows about it because almost everyone was watching over me when the pulled my mangled body ashore from the storm a few years ago. she told him. Then what she knew was going to happen, happened. She knew it was only a matter of time because she hadn't released this morning like her body normally did when she woke up. It chose now. She knew that it would at least be masked a bit by the water both the scent of the urine, and the noticability. The water was crystal clear though, and she turned instinctively as soon as she felt herself starting to go. She knew as soon as she did that, she had given herself away. She could only hope that he didn't noticed the slightly yellow tint in the water or the scent that was barely noticeable to her. She decided though to be honest, and just gave a soft smile to go with the blush that was evident on her. Sorry. That is what I was talking about. she started. For once she wasn't feeling to down on herself about it. She wasn't sure if it was the security of the water, or for some reason she just trusted him not to make fun of her for it. She knew that no one else in the clan ever made fun of her to her face about it, but she was intelligent enough to know that there was always talk about someone behind their back. Everything started apparently a couple days after the major storm blew threw here that... I actually tracked wrong... I though that based on the winds that it would go one direction, but everything shifted, and it was upon us before we knew what happened. When the storm hit, I was the one that everyone got out of the mountain. That is, everyone except me. Even in the middle of the storm I made one final run through the mountain to make sure that everyone had gotten below the water's surface. Unfortunately, in that final run, on my way down to get under water myself, a strong gust of wind threw me against the mountain head first, knocking me unconscious and I started tumbling down the side of the mountain into the ocean. She told him not really sure why she was telling him this. She was sure that he already knew about it. Everyone else in the clan did, and she was sure that he would have heard it from somewhere. After that I don't remember anything until I woke up. I was told that Amira was the one that pulled my bloody corpse back into the mountain, and healed everything that they could find. Except for one thing which no one could heal... she paused taking a deep breath. Apparently somewhere on the way down the mountain, A pillar of rock went through my lower abdomen. They were able to fix everything else down there, but I had suffered massive nerve damage to the nerves leading to my bladder. In fact They found that they were completely gone in that area. I know some of them have grown back naturally as I can now feel when I'm already releasing, but I can no longer control my bladder functions until we can get that healed... when ever my body decides it needs to release, it's going to whether I like it or not, and it's even worse at night. she told him. Again she didn't know why she told him. The only thing she did was give him ammunition to laugh at her and fly away, which would leave her with absolutely no self-esteem for the day or probably a while for that matter. As soon as she realized that she had spoken to much to him she turned away already starting to feel low on herself again. Now she was scared, and she knew that she had brought it all on herself if he made fun of her for it, and she would deserve every bit of it now. |

The dragoness said that she always came out in the morning before everyone woke up, just enjoying the peace and quiet. But he was slightly interested when she said something about the others dragging her body off of the shore. What had happened, he wasn't really sure. He must not have been there during that powerful storm. Even though he didn't press her on the matter, she told her story, about looking out for the others, making sure they were in the water during the storm. On her last round, she said how a gust of wind crashed her against the side of the mountain, knocking her unconscious. Abraxas could almost imagine her beautiful mangled body being bashed open from the sharp rocks. And then the nerves around her bladder were gone, but some had grown back. He wasn't a healer, so he didn't know much about nerves, but he always remembered dragons saying that it was difficult repairing nerves to their rightful state. But if they had their bladder like that, he knew it must mean that she would have to let herself go no matter what, and he was sure she wasn't very happy about it. His eyes scanned her as she looked away. Then he was able to look at her more closely, just like she had earlier. Her scales were smaller by her neck, but grew larger as they went down her body. The blue on her body was strikingly magnificent, along with the streamlined build she had. She was also slim from the water, and he could imagine her swimming under the water, being very fast and catching any fish she wanted to. She was an amazing sight. He couldn't deny that. But as she spoke of her problem, he remembered his own. He would do anything to give up his seizures. They took over his life, making him have to stay in his den. They made him become antisocial, like he was the only thing in the world. He didn't like being so lonely, and it often got to him. A strong dragon like him should be strong at heart, but he was broken. It was amazing how he was actually talking to another creature, let alone a female. He was out of his element here, and he could feel his tensed muscles, relax subconsciously. He wasn't sure if he was imagining it, but he could feel the water become a degree warmer before disappearing to its normal temperature again. He noticed the water may have been a tint lighter, like yellow. He knew he wasn't imagining it, but he didn't press her about it. That's probably why she had looked away like that, afraid he would come back at her again, laugh at her like a lot of others might have done. But he thanked himself for being different, for being unlike other dragons. She had a problem, he had a problem. He knew somewhat at what she was going through, except in a different physical way. He didn't have much to say, afraid of letting his past fall free from his dark past. He was ashamed of running away. It made him seem weak, like he didn't have the right set in mind. He would tell someone about it only when he wanted to, and who he wanted to. Now wasn't the time. But he was starting to feel the need to trust her, like she wouldn't laugh or make fun of him since she had a problem. Abraxas had been laughed at and rumored about too many times. He was tired of it, and knew no other healers could heal him. You're not the only one with a problem, Miss. Beyond today, you won't see me for several days, and that depends whether I want to come out or not. Abraxas shifted in the water, his mind playing tricks on him. Having these seizures made him very different from others. I didn't catch your name. Edited by Emz, Apr 2 2010, 12:59 PM.

Aqua knew that it had been a bad idea to tell him about her problem. She knew that he had been watching her and now that he knew about her, he had a loaded gun. She waited for a response but the only thing that she got from him was a cold stare. She noticed his eyes glance down at her and she knew she had seen her episode. She knew what was coming, either abandonment again, or he would just start laughing at her. Sure enough his response came. He didn't laugh at her, but just like everyone else, he made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with her. She closed her eyes and clenched them shut trying to hold herself back. She had been decent the last couple days at crying about her situation, but with his response being that she wasn't the only one that had a problem, and that this would probably be the last time she saw him for a while. Just like everyone else... Always shunning me... she whispered to herself. When he asked her for name, she looked up to him, hurt in her eyes from his statement, but there were no tears yet. She was doing well at holding them back for a change. My name is Aquaria, and I'm sorry if I disturbed you. I can leave if you want me to... It wouldn't be the first time I've been asked to do so. she told him already preparing herself for the answer mentally. She could already tell that this was going to be a horrible day, and that nothing would go right for her. She almost felt like going to her den and crying for the rest of the day. She figured it would be the only way that something bad wouldn't happen to her. She just imagined everything else. Heck knowing her luck, she'll get slammed into the mountain again by a random gust of wind to force her to re-live the experience that made her the was that she is now. IF only I would have done my job right a few years ago. she said to herself as a single finally started to form. She turned her head from him quickly though to keep him from noticing. She didn't want to appear even weaker than she apparently did to him. |

Abraxas noticed her eyes turn terribly sad. He knew at that time that she must have misunderstood his words. He sighed, wondering what was going through her head. Maybe he had just ruined his chance at actually making a friend, but his limbs wouldn't move. If he didn't show up around here for a week because of his seizure, she might think he was just ignoring her for this reason. No. He couldn't do that. He couldn't make someone feel bad for his wrongdoings. Saying that she wasn't the only one with a problem was the wrong reply, even if his intentions were opposite. Abraxas knew it was either make her more sad, or tell her the truth. She said her name was Aquaria, but her next words even made him more guilty. She just wasn't getting the idea at what he was trying to get at, was she? She said that she could leave and leave him alone, also saying that it wouldn't be the first time. Abraxas didn't know why someone would want to shun a beautiful dragoness like her because of her problem. It didn't matter what was on the outside, but what was on the inside. You don't understand. When I said you weren't the only one to have a problem, I meant that I have a problem too, possibly even worse than you. When someone asks me about my past, if they ever do, I'm always terrified. I swore never to talk about it again... but I'm afraid I have to to keep your friendship, if we have one. Abraxas's heart was pounding incredibly fast, not to mention hard. When I was young, I was always alone. I never wanted to come out. I always trained alone, ate alone, and kept a corner to myself in the family den while I slept. Dad wasn't around much. Siblings didn't care whether I was there or not, and my mother... well, let's just say she wasn't much of one. He remembered it all, terified of his own memories. Then one day I got sick, really sick. It started out with one seizure a day, but it had been growing one by one every day. I'd get really sick after each seizure, have a fever lasting for a whole day. Our clan healers weren't that skilled, but they managed to span it down to one seizure a month. But after it, I'm gradually getting sicker. I left the clan, having those seizures, until I found here. That's why I'm mostly in my den all the time. I've managed to date my seizures, so tomorrow I'll be in my den, and will end there the whole next week. It's not fun, getting sick and having those seizures. I'm always alone, no one there to help me. Each seizure is worse than the last. I don't want to imagine when it'll get too bad, I'll... He couldn't finish. It was all too hard for him to take, and he hadn't let out his past like this. He never let himself think about it until now. Maybe it was a bad idea having to come up to this dragoness. He wouldn't have to talk and live through his life again. He looked into her eyes, noticing their beautiful color. He wasn't sure why he was going to tell her this, but it was the thing that popped into his head. I don't know why someone would want to leave a dragoness like yourself. They should be ashamed not to talk to someone like you. |

Everything had always went wrong for her since the storm. Maybe she had too good of a life leading up to that point, and now it was the ancestors way of taking back what they gave her. Making her suffer now for all the good she had before. She waited mentally for the answer that she thought that she knew was coming. It turned out though, that the answer that she was waiting for, and the answer that she received from him were two completely different things. He started in telling her that it appeared that she misunderstood the meaning behind what he had told her. She looked up at him with a confused look. What else was she supposed to think in the situation? The only thing that she could go off of was how most of the others treated her in the clan. The only ones that treated her with any respect was Takali, Rathol, and Amira. She didn't really know too many others that well in the clan, and the sad thing was, was that no one else really took the time to get to know her. She had recently found out that some of the other dragons have nicknamed her the wetter because of her problem. The fact that she now knew about that hurt her, and she lost a bit of faith in the clan that they would judge before they knew someone. She then listened to him as he started telling her something about his past. About how when he was younger, he was always alone, that he didn't have much of a mother and his father was never around. She knew what that was like, sort-of. She had already lost both of her parents, and had been living with Amira for almost ten consecutive years now. He told her that his siblings could care less if he was there, which wasn't much of the case with her even though they didn't really speak too much because they had moved to different parts of the clan and they wanted little to do with her since her accident, or at least she assumed. She then heard him tell her that while he was young he got sick. He said that he had started having seizures, and that he would get really really sick from his seizures for the next few days starting with a really high fever. He told her that the healers in his clan wasn't very skilled and they managed to get it down to one seizure a month but he's gradually getting sicker. When he told her that she mentally kicked herself. Like I should believe I am the only one with problems... I'm such a wyrmling! She thought to herself. She took in every word from him as he spoke them to her. She never replied just sat there in the water and listened to him. She told him that he had figured out how to time his seizures and that he was expecting his next one to be tomorrow. Which worried her as soon as he said that, and it made her angry to hear that he had no one else that would help him with anything after the seizure help him get better or anything. He then changed the subject rather abruptly, she figured it was getting to him enough to make it painful to talk about. Not that she didn't understand why. But he did mention to her that He didn't understand why someone would shun someone like her, and that they should feel ashamed for not doing so. It's mainly because of my issue. No one ever wants to be around me when I have an accident. It's embarrassing to everyone around me, and then they have to smell everything as well. That's not always a pleasant scent... she told him. She thought back on his statement about him being alone. It took her a little bit to build up some courage to say what she wanted to, but she finally managed to speak up. I know that you probably are wary, but if you would like. I can try to help you as much as I can through you seizure... If you don't mine the cave smelling bad for a bit until I can get it cleaned up from my messes... she told him knowing that she would most likely be spending nights in his den, and that was when her wetting problem was at it's worse. Amira had told her that she on average wets four times a night. The question had been asked though, and all she could do now was wait for an answer.[/center/ |

When the silence droned on, he was sure she would just walk away right then and there. She just sat there, like the words were going right over her head. Abraxas was pretty sure the words hadn't even come out in the first place. It frightened him, once again. Here was his one time to make a friend, but it was totally taken away from his seizure explanation. Why couldn't he just keep his maw shut? Great... now he was ready for a laugh, but he stopped his thoughts. She had a problem, he had a problem, so they both pretty much knew what it was like to be humiliated. They could actually be really good friends. But from what had happened, his first impression had been shattered. She said that it was mainly because of her issue that she was ignored. All Abraxas could do was shake his head. People just weren't as civil as they used to be. For one thing, one problem, that was it. It wasn't like she was marked as an ugly forever. In fact, she was one of the most beautiful dragonesses he'd seen. And from the looks of it, she didn't have a mate. Everyone just didn't have the love anymore. It made him really angry about it. He'd trade positions with her any day if it meant she was could go on normally. She'd just be out of commission once a month. The rest, she could enjoy her life normally with hundreds of friends she'd deserve. She also said how it was embarrassing for people around her when she had the accident. Abraxas wasn't embarrassed about it. He wasn't blaming her for anything. He didn't know why such a good deed, making sure everyone was out before the storm, had to be punished by being slammed against the cliffside. If it was karma or some god, he knew it wasn't a good existence. If he could get back at that thing, he'd gladly do it. This dragoness deserved better. Her next words shocked him greatly. She said she'd be willing to help him during his seizures, to be there for him. His enlarged eyes turned to confusion. Was she serious? Did she not know how much of a hassle and mess that would be? He wasn't concerned about his den; he'd be able to clean that. But if he was sick in front of her, and if she happened to wet herself, that would be twice the work to clean up, and if he wasn't able to do it, she would have to leave him and do it all by herself. No, he couldn't let a beautiful thing like her have to go through all that. But he wasn't at all sure what to say. It surprised him so much, he was speechless. It surprised him that she would do that, be willing to go through that. Perhaps she wasn't sure at what would go on during that time. It was close to a week, and he couldn't stand seeing her in discomfort for several days like that. He let out a sigh. Aquaria, it would take a lot of work, looking after me during my seizures. It's not the den or your messes that worries me... It's just the discomfort you'll be in, along with doing all that work for some lowlife like me. I don't deserve your help, and you don't deserve having to watch after me through such a difficult time. Besides, I think it would be better if you weren't there. I've been sometimes able to... really fling out during the muscle spasms. I don't want to injure or hurt you in any way. It wouldn't be right. He considered the idea. If she was good at any type of magic, like earth or something, she could be able to restrain him so he wouldn't fling out like he would. That's how bad the seizures were getting. He couldn't risk her life for that. And he knew if he happened to hurt her, he wouldn't be able to live with himself. In fact, thinking of her like that made him even more confused. She had the amazing looks, he couldn't deny that. She was willing to help a sucker like him. Maybe she was a really caring and kind person. At least she was talking to him at this time, even during her accident. That could mean her personality was bright, and it would take a lot to tear her down. Even if it would help me, it wouldn't be so lucky on your side. |

She waited for Abraxas to reply to her for proposition. She didn't know him at all, but still, she knew what he was going through, and she wanted to help him as much as she could. Knowing that he had no one else that could look after him, and he's the only one that actually continued talking to her after an accident other than Takali, Amira and the Alpha pair. She knew that Takali was trying to advance her magic so that she could fix the nerve damage. She knew that she had told her to take her time with it, but now she regretted saying so. Everything she wanted now she couldn't have. Friends, a family, a normal life, she couldn't have any of it while she was like this. She wanted to at least feel important. She knew that she was the betess, but a betess is replaceable. If Rathol or Kolora wanted to they could replace her as the betess at any time. She knew that they wouldn't, but it was still an open possibility. The black male rested in the water for a second seemingly contemplating the offer. Then he spoke, telling her that it would take a lot of work to look after him in his den. How it wasn't her making a mess that bothered him, but the discomfort that he would cause for her from helping a low-life as himself. She got a little angry from that comment, and her anger grew a bit as he continued. He was saying that he didn't deserve anyone's and she didn't deserve to watch him struggle. He also told her that during his seizure he had been know to fling out, and he didn't want to risk hurting her. There was a brief pause and she started to say something but then he mentioned that even if it helped him it wouldn't be lucky for her. She moved a little bit closer to him, and mentioned in a stern voice, There is no such thing as a low-life in this clan, and you are by far one. she told him starting in. I know that you've grown accustomed to being ignored, and believe me when I say I know the feeling, but I still want to help you. I don't care if it may not be the luckiest thing to do in your opinion, but it would make me feel important. she told him. And believe me, I've been through pain a lot worse than you could ever do to me. I would like to help you, regardless of the dangers or the discomfort that may be involved. I understand though, if you still don't want my help. You've been going through this for so long alone though, I just figured that for once it would be nice if you had someone that was willing to help. I really don't mind it if you don't mind me and my messes. she added to him waiting for his next reply. If he told her no again, then she would simply drop it. There was no guarantee she wouldn't check on him though every day or so. She was the betess, and it was part of her job to keep her clan safe. |

Abraxas could feel chills run down his spine when he saw her and heard her stern voice. A small smile played on his lips. She was a tough dragoness indeed, and he wasn't at all sure what could bring her down. It shocked him, as he just started talking to her and she was willing to help him out a lot. That had to make her tough, and you couldn't just become tough through one night. She'd probably been living up with it her whole life. For his past, he was surprised he wasn't as tough as her, or at least wasn't showing it. Maybe it was best to use it at the right time. But because she didn't seem like a threat at all, or even close to one, he thought it'd be nice to have a friend or two. Her first words pretty much sealed the deal on the toughness. She said how no one in the clan was a low life, and that there wasn't a definition of it. He was taken aback about it, but understood what he meant. He wasn't trying to sound sorry about himself, and he hoped it didn't ruin his chance with Aquaria. He really needed a friend, or else he knew he'd go crazy. But this was his one chance to be helped out by someone, just once. He could try it out, and if she wa willing to do it again, maybe they could help each other out. He might be able to help her with her problem, however that might be. It would be nice, knowing that someone was there, able to comfort him during his loneliest time. Yeah... He wouldn't have to worry about feeling alone while he was sick, with no one to care for him. He hoped it all wasn't just dreams. He hoped they'd become real. Aquaria said that doing it would make her feel important, like she was needed. She didn't care if he was dangerous or the discomfort she may experience. His smile widened. But she also said that it wouldn't faze her if he denied her offer. She was probably thinking that being alone all these years having the seizures wouldn't make a difference the next time around. But that wasn't the case. If it was true, his seizures getting worse every single time, he would need someone there to help him during that one time. It might be fatal for him, whenever that seizure may be. He didn't want to think about it. I...I'd love to have your help, Aquaria. It'll be a change, but a good one at that. I'll try and pay it back. It won't be an easy task, but during that time and after it, the recovery won't be as traumatizing, if at all, knowing someone would be there with me, willing to help me out. I can't thank you enough for offering this. I'll make a moss like bed in my den that you can stay in. It should absorb the liquid if you happen to have an accident. If you happen to miss, that'll be fine. I'll be able to clean up once I've recovered. Plus, it might actually make the recovery quicker, knowing the mentality I'll have with a... With a friend there. He gave her a small smile, looking into her eyes briefly before looking out at the water. So... What position do you hold in the clan? |

Aquaria waited patiently for his response. She wasn't really expecting one much different from the one that she got before, but you never knew what someone else was going to say or do. He had already certain surprised her by not wanting her to leave like everyone else has and by telling her what he had meant by talking about his disappearance. So maybe he would surprise her again. The only thing she could do was wait and wonder what the answer would be. When his answer came, it was the opposite of what she had expected once again, showing her that no one is every predictable. Well, almost everyone. She was predictable in a sense because everyone knew that she would have at least one or two accidents a day. She didn't feel to worried about that right now for some reason though. Now that she knew that there was another dragon within the clan that was having a major problem, she felt inclined to worry about his more than hers, and after all, from the way he talked his issue could be fatal while hers is just embarrassing. Living with embarrassment is a lot better than living with the known fact that the next seizure could very well end your life. She listed to him again though as he started. He told her that he would love to have her help and that it would be a good change from things past. This made her smile a bit, which was actually the first time that she had smiled for the last couple days. She also heard him tell her that her that he would try to pay her back for it as well, which she smiled again. she never did anything for something in return except gratification that she helped someone. He told her that there was no way that he could thank her enough for this, and that he could make a bed of moss for her to lay on in case she were to have an accident, which there was no in case. She knew that at some point if she spent all of her time with him she would have an accident in his den. He also told her if she made it to it, or if she missed it didn't matter, he could always clean it once he was better. He also told her that there was a possibility that he could recover quicker knowing that he would have a friend with him. Her smile grew larger. It would be my pleasure to assist you, and I need no payment in return. The gratification of just being there helping someone is enough for me. I always feel that others should come before me, I always have. I know that's how I got put into the current mess that I'm in, but It's something I have to live with. Sometimes I can go about it just fine and other times I can get really depressed about it. I'm sure you know how that goes though. she told him holding her smile. She liked him. He was similar to her and he wasn't judging her. It was the two things that she could only hope for and she was getting. And you're right. From my experience, most others do recover quicker in presence of a friend, and a quicker recover would make me happier because that means you could come out more, and not always be alone. Maybe I wouldn't be alone as much then. she said stopping herself with the realization of what she said hitting her and making her blush. Sorry about that... I got a bit ahead of myself... she tole him as he asked her what position she held in the clan. It then made her realize that she never mentioned it. You probably wouldn't believe it, but I'm actually the betess. she told him truthfully wondering how he would react to what she said. |

Abraxas was ready for her to change her mind, after she had been given a good amount of time to think about it. But he shouldn't be worried about it too much. He'd been rejected enough, so why was this one so special. But when he noticed that sweet smile on her face, it made his heart leap. As he spoke, that smile became bigger. He hadn't realized how happy he felt, now that she wasn't so tense like earlier. He wouldn't mind waking up to that cute little face every morning. He shook himself. What was he thinking? Did he honestly think he had any chance with her whatsoever? But they did have a lot in common. They knew what it was like to be rejected. They knew what it was like to be in some sort of pain. They knew what it was like to be humiliated, to be ignored, to never feel normal. It felt like the world only had eyes for you when you happened to be around. They could help each other out, and he couldnt take his eyes off of her smile. Aquaria said that it would be her pleasure to help Abraxas out during that time. She also said how she always wanted to help people, and that she didn't need a reward. The gratifaction was all she needed. But Abraxas knew he couldn't just let something like that slide by. She must not know what kind of good she was doing for a price. But he didn't interrupt her. She said how it might quicken the recovery with a friend, like he had mentioned before. She talked about how you could come out more, and not be alone. Then she said she might not be alone ever again. But she blushed, turning her head. It made the butterflies in his stomach flourish again. He chuckled as he watched her expression. It was just the way she looked that made him laugh. Her blush was actually pretty beautiful. Then she told him the position. When he heard her say betess, he was astonished. He didn't know someone so nice and caring could have the authority and still keep things sane. Even though the betess wasn't technically the highest thing, but it was above average and she had higher duties in the clan. She didn't act like the betess, ordering people around like Abraxas always thought they would. It made the smile on his face come wider with the thought. Well, you are a very different Betess at that, Aquaria. Though you are different, you're a good friend to have. You are very nice and caring. For some reason, I always thought betesses weren't... Well, like yourself. He hoped she hadn't taken that the wrong way like she had earlier. Even though I just met you... I didn't know it would be this great. He stood up from the water, still knee high in. He stretched his muscles before turning to Aquaria. He still had that smile on his face, hoping she didn't mind. The smile felt foreign on his lips, but so natural, it felt strange. Something must have sparked up in his brain, like that one piece that never fit with the other pieces, making the puzzle unset and unable to work properly. This wasn't normal, to feel this way, so social and not being ignored. He was actually living. Abraxas brought himself out of his thoughts. He hadn't realized how much of the day had passed. So, shall we move along then, or stay here? |

This had to be her lucky day. She was happy, not just putting on a fake smile for everyone around her to make them think that she was okay, she was happy. This male had made her that way. He saw him smile at her blush and even let out a small laugh. She gave a softer smile and turned her head back towards him so that she could listen to what he had to say. She actually found out though that he really didn't have much to say at all. She didn't mind though. Even if he wasn't talking to her every second, she still felt happy around him. She felt happy to be understood for once, and she understood what he was going through. They may have had two completely different problems. But they were both major and life-altering in their own way. She felt like her old self again before the accident that made her what she was. She felt very playful, and she was very laid back. She loved having fun, and never really had a chance to have too much of it any more. She moved a little closer to him hoping he wouldn't mind as she waited for really, anything. Once she mentioned she was the betess though, things perked up again. When she mentioned she was the betess, he mentioned that she was a very different betess at that. She wasn't quite sure what he meant by that, but instead of asking she left him talk. Her heart filled with warmth and vibrance when he told her that she was a good friend to have. It was the first time she had been called a friend by anyone other than family members, or the Alphas. She listened as he continued saying that betesses where like, well how she was? Well, how did you expect a betess to act? Being mean and cold and cruel doesn't get anyone anywhere and that would only give others more of a reason to pick on me for my problem. Besides, I always treat other they way I would hope to be treated in return. It rarely ever works out that way, but I still try. I also try to be open about everything and tell everyone the can come to me with anything. Most won't though afraid of having to watch me leak. she told him. When he asked her if they should move along then or just stay here. The honest truth was it didn't matter to her, but she would also like to see his den. She already knew it was probably better than hers. And it wouldn't smell as bad either. At least at the moment until she had been there a night or two. She just hoped he didn't change his mind about her after a couple of bad nights. You pick what we do. I'm open for anything. she told him. She had to shake her head for a second though to get thoughts of him and her out of her mind. She doubted that he would ever want to be with her like that so didn't want to get her hopes too high only to have them shattered. |

That same smile still played on his lips as he looked at her. Aquaria looked more lively, and her spirits seemed raised. She seemed more happy and social than she had before when she thought he'd make fun of her. But no, he wouldn't do that. It felt better seeing her more like herself, or what he hoped was herself. It felt good making her feel better, and seeing her smile just made his day. If he continued this, he knew it would make him feel the best ever from his other, boring self. She said how she was the kinder type, and he didn't see any reason why she wasn't. From what he could tell, she was a very nice dragoness, even when the opposite person didn't deserve anything of the sort. He probably didn't make things clear on what he meant by bettesses being what he thought of, but he didn't press on the matter. He shook his head as she spoke. She wa being so nice to people, from what she was saying, when others simply ignored her or made fun of her because of her problem. It was a good rule to live by, he didn't deny that. She finally said how she didn't mind what they would do next. Well, we could just walk to my den instead of rushing it, like flying. I'd like to know more about you, if you don't mind. It'd be nice, because I wouldn't be treated by a stranger. He gave her a smile, watching her get up and walk beside him. He started off in more of an outside walk to the mountainside instead of going straight toward it. He wanted to talk with her, and if he could prolong it, he would. So they started off, side by side, his smile still on his lips. So, I'm sure an attractive dragoness like yourself has a mate, right? I'd like to meet him, if you do. |

Aquaria found herself in a precarious situation. For the first time in a long time she had found someone that wasn't willing to leave her alone on the beach after their first meeting. She remembered back to the first time that she had met Levi. She had had an accident then as well, and no sooner did she have an accident, Levi had to continue with her business. Which the timing of it may have just been a coincidence, but it still told her mentally, that she didn't want anything to do with her then. she was nice about it, but still the fact that she left afterward meant that something wasn't right. She shook that from her mind though. She was happy now so no sense in thinking on something that made her upset. She moved up next to him as he mentioned that they could walk back to his den. She felt all the more comfortable in the water, but walking was okay to. He told her that he wanted to get to know more about her since she would be taking care of him. It startled her but still made sense at the same time. They just met, and he was probably a little wary about having someone he didn't completely know in his den. She knew that she would feel the same way. She nodded and started walking along side of him. The coast was a longer way around to get to the mountain but it didn't bother her. She needed the exercise from being to herself the last couple days. That and the waves felt good over her paws so it kept them from getting sand stuck in the webbing between her talons. She felt good about everything and was willing to share anything he wanted to know about her. He already knew about her biggest secret so anything else would be easy for her. At least, she thought it would be easy for her because she wasn't expecting the question that started the conversation. He presumed that she had a mate because of how attractive she was, and that if she did, she would like to meet him. His words stopped her in her tracks, and made every memory of her living alone in her den. Amira lived with her of course, but it wasn't the same. She shied her head a bit from him, I wish I did... she spoke softly trying to regain herself. She knew he wasn't meaning anything by the comment, and that he was just wanting to see him, but it still reminded her that she had no one to go home to or be loved by. No one wants me though.... not when they can have a normal female that looks just as good as I do instead of one that has a problem like mine. I've stopped pursuing a mate because I know I'll never find one while I still have my accidents. she told him shaking herself free from the thoughts. Maybe.... he was testing the waters... Maybe.... she shook her head again, No, there's no way he could be interested in me... we just met... it... it... She shook her head again. She let things be and would let them go as they may. She was very doubtful, but very hopeful at the same time. Hoping she found someone that wouldn't turn away from her. |

When Aquaria stopped and shied a bot away from him with her head, he knew he had struck a personal chord. He went closer to her, worry on his face. There was pain in those beautiful eyes, and he wished he hadn't said anything about it. If only he could have kept his mouth shut, but hopefully she would recover quickly like before. His heart ached though, watching her like this. There it was again, that worry for this dragoness. He had no idea what was happening or why he wa starting to feel this way about her. Maybe it was because she was being so nice to him that his good side didn't like seeing the pain. But something else told him something different was going on, and he didn't know if that different was good. He'd never come to love someone, even his family after they ignored him. He didn't necessarily know the feeling that would make him feel good. From eavesdropping on some "emotional" dragons, he learned that love was one of the greatest things out there. It was the best feeling to have, and when you could share it with that someone who felt the same way, it was the best thing in the world. He wanted that. He didn't want to be lonely anymore, or have a seizure alone again. Her response surprised him. She didn't have a mate after all. She said she wasn't trying anymore, as there were females equally has gorgeous as her without the problem. She said no one would want her and that she wouldn't get a mate while she still had her problem. He shook his head as he stood there, looking into her eyes. She really was speaking the truth about giving up on love. It pained him to hear that. Aquaria, don't give up so easily. You have a good, lovely heart and a perfect personality. Don't be negative. Love is one of the most astonishing and shocking things in this world. Simple feelings could change drastically overnight. Who knows? You could get very lucky. He gave her a charming smile, giving her a wink before moving on with her. Though it may seem like the world hates you, there's many other things going on; good things. I know for certain that you're not being hated by anyone around here now. He hoped she was getting the hint. Like I said; simple feelings could change overnight. |

She stood there now knowing that her words may have just pushed the only chance she ever had of getting a mate away. Of course that was assuming that he didn't already have a mate himself, and that he even actually cared for her and wasn't just letting her do this to let her feel happy. No, he didn't seem like that, and if he had a mate, he wouldn't need her to be with him at all. in fact, he probably would have left her where she laid. She was very grateful that he didn't do that. She watched him approach her, and she was afraid of what he was going to tell her now. It be-founded her how she could go from being so happy to possible being ripped apart in just in a matter of minutes. His words were once again different from everyone else's though. For some reason, she wasn't too surprised by that. He had proven to be different than everyone else in so many ways already. So this was kind of expected now. The words that came from him were telling her that she shouldn't give up so easily. That she had a good, lovely heart, and a perfect personality, which upon hearing made her cheeks flush violet from her blush showing from under her bright blue scales. He told her that simple feelings can often change over night, and that love was one of the most shocking and astonishing things that anyone could experience. Her heart skipped a beat when he said that. She wasn't sure why he would say something like that to her. Every thought that she could possibly think about that rushed through her head. He then told her that she could get very lucky soon and then gave her a wink which almost made her gasp at what he was saying to her. He had basically told her that he was considering her... which... made her, but happy and uneasy at the same time. He then told her that she may be hated by many, but he also told her that she wouldn't be hated by anyone around here now. She looked up to him... No one has ever told me anything like that before... she started. You're right, she said starting to get her smile back, and it was a lot softer than before. Simple emotions do change over not. she told him. Even in the short time they had known each other, she was growing to like him, a lot. She only hoped that he possibly felt the same way about her. |

Abraxas breathed in the fresh air, looking into her glorious eyes, trying to find a reason why she couldn't be his. His mind lingered, all defenses down. His self conscious didn't stop him as he thought of her in a different way. At least he had a reason to feel like this. Never had he had a friend like this ever, and what better and more jaw dropping than a female? He was utterly shocked in the first place that she had even talked to him. Others would have just ignored him or chuckled because of his social skills, which he didn't have. But this femme was so nice and so willing to help, he just couldn't help but feel relaxed and happy with her. Make it love or just like, he was a happy dragon. Just walking along the coast with no one in sight made him wonder how the future would turn out. He could tell they could become great friends, and that back part of his mind even said he might have a real possibility with her. When they had so much in common, he wouldn't be surprised if they become best friends. Aquaria said that he was right, and that she'd never heard something like that in her life. It could be a negative or positive meaning, but from the look in her eye and the soft tone in her voice, she was dazzled. It was definitely a positive remark. He let out a sigh. Okay, so things weren't going that bad. She even repeated what he said about feelings/emotions. Abraxas was really perked up at her now. With the sun just right, her blue scales sparkled dazzingly, making him want to look at them all day. The water lapped at their feet, the sand luckily not sticking to their feet. They continued to walk along the coast, his heart pounding hard with mixed emotions, not to mention confusing. It might have been love he was feeling. Whatever it was, he was becoming giddy inside. He learned that love was a tricky drug; first time you took it, youre hooked and you can get high. He glanced over at her occasionally, but making sure to look away just in time, or else he would be staring. There was a silence, and he wanted to break it. Ive never been treated this nicely before in my life. I'm not sure if luck just happened to be on my side today, but this is one of the best days of my life. I don't know what's wrong with me. He didn't know how else to put it. Because he's never been this open before and social, he figured he was mental. He was coming out of his shell so quickly, it was strange to him. |
