For a while, Aries seemed to just hover at the edge of blackness with the little fireflies, just smiling at their dancing light. Suddenly though, they grew very faint and she felt frightened, sad and worried for some reason. The fireflies shouldn't go out, no, no they shouldn't. They flickered once, but then grew bright again, so that was OK. She played with the lights for a moment, not realizing that the space around her was dimming, but turning paler at the same time. Suddenly, though, all turned a bright, blinding, burning white. Aries fell limply into the cold water of the Lake, dropping like a stone down to the bottom. Her eyes flew open and she roared, an explosion of bubbles jushing to the surface. She gasped for air and swallowed just water, drowning somewhat. She was too shocked to react, her silver eyes staring upwards at the light playing on the water's surface. Her back came into contact with the sands and she breathed in more water. Something somewhere bright and green gave her the energy to kick off from the bottom, her head breaking the surface in under ten seconds. Aries dragged her aching, weak body out onto the shore, spluttering and throwing up litres of water she'd breathed in, still gasping for breath. She collapsed some ways out, coughing up the last of it and catching her breath. Her body was still soaked, which meant she was pleasantly cool, though she was still somewhat weak and her head spun. What was that?!? she asked Cobra, Zil'caron and, surprisingly enough, her sister. She was still down, but for the moment, she was too confused to remember anything really. |

Cobra walked on, the pain slowly fading away from her. She knew she never should have come out here but she couldn't worry about that. She had to worry about Sil's next plan of action, sliding Aries into the lake. She knew that she wouldn't be able to help if Aries didn't wake up. It would be up to Sil and Zil, knowing that, it made her want to leave. She wouldn't be any more help, probably just more trouble. But she stayed, knowing the whole story; she knew Aries wouldn't want to go back to her clan just yet. She had something in mind for Aries that would involve her being fully awake and aware of her actions. When they reached the lake Cobra went to the edge to grab a drink as Aries was slid in. She counted to somewhere before 10 before Aries had come back up, spluttering. She lifted her head and watched as Aries got rid of the water she had swallowed. What happened Aries is that you were deeply hurt, and ended up passed out. Zil could probably explain more since I wasn't there to witness anything. And what just now happened is to wake you up, we dumped you into the lake, not being able to wake you any other way. She decided not to tell Aries what had happened to herself, not wanting Aries to start worrying about her. She thought about how she was close to labor without a sufficient amount of healers. That made Cobra’s question even more important. She looked over to Zil and Sil, knowing she should probably ask them first. She walked over to them, wondering how Aries might feel going back to their clan. I know this is a bit to ask for, but I know from what I heard that it might be a bit hard for Aries to go back to her clan. I know I wouldn’t want to go back if all that had happened to me. Well, my clan is pretty welcoming to guests and it would give Aries a needed break if she went there. I was wondering if she could, knowing now how close I am to giving birth to my eggs, without having many good healers in my clan. She could really be of some use and she would be able to sort everything out, not getting too stressed when she went back to her clan. She would also be able to leave whenever she wanted, even if it was an hour after she got there. She looked back at Aries, wondering if she had heard. She then looked back at Zil, realizing that he might want to come along with Aries. Zil, I know you might want to come too but, I tell you now, I will respect Aries’ wishes and will not let you follow if she does not wish you to. She gave him a stern unwavering look, letting him know she was being serious. She just wondered how stricken Aries would be about the situation, and wondered if the other two even liked her idea. She let out a sigh and wondered how she had come to this and before this she had to see Naltanar laying in sand close to dead, then waking up only to pass out a few minutes later. It seemed like fate wasn’t in her favor for what she was going through. |

I'm sorry Aries, that was my idea. You were completely unconscious and on the verge of dying. letting you fall into the lake was the only thing that I could think of to do at that time. I knew that the water would wake you back up, I didn't think far enough in advance to realize that you could still drown from that... Silvera told her sister shamefully looking away. In attempt to save her sister, she nearly killed her. What a wonderful alphess I am she thought to herself. What she heard next startled her. She heard Cobra asking if it would be alright for her to stay in her clan for a bit. That she had heard of the situation, and that it would give Aries some time to help sort things out, as well as she added the fact of which Silvera already knew. She was very close to going into labor, and that would be occurring within the next couple days. When she mentioned the fact that she had very few good healers in her clan, it reminded her of the status of the clan when she was there. She was the main healer, and when she left to take back her old clan, it must have severely impacted this clan. Aries may do whatever she wishes. Since she's my sister, I only want what would make her happy. I would be upset and I would miss her greatly while she was gone, but if she needs time to recover, that is for her to decide. The fact that you need healers and that you are a very close friend of mine, I would never dream in letting you go into labor without have a healer around. There are far many things that could go wrong to not have one near by. she told Cobra loud enough so that Aries could as well. Zil'caron was happy to see that Aries was okay, if a bit shaken up from the water. He was still afraid to go near her though now that she was awake. If she did hate him as he though, there would be nothing keeping her from severely hurting him. She was bigger than him, and the added fact that he would not fight her under any circumstances to begin with would mean certain death for him. Death however, was the perfect alternative for him than to be living without his love. When Cobra mentioned that she would allow Aries to come to her clan, is heart sank. He wanted to stay together, but so far everyone was working against them, against him. She was suggesting Aries to leave the clan, to leave him. When she told him that he could come with her if he wanted, he perked up a bit. She also told him however that if Aries didn't want him to come, she would respect that and not let him. If Aries wishes me not to come, then the answer to the question of which whether she still loves me or if she hates me has been answered, and my presence in this land in general is no longer needed. If she wishes me not to come with her. I will simply leave and never return. He told her loud enough for Aries should have heard. |

Aries could only catch her breath and listen as everyone else discussed what she'd do and why as if she wasn't even there. it hurt her even more right then, but it also angered her, especially Zil'caron's attitude. As if she wouldn't still die for him! If it was anyone's fault, it was hers. With that thought, she stood up and narrowed her eyes, even if she swayed slightly. She was mostly recovered now and was just suffering badly from a badly broken heart. Zil'caron's words had slightly glued it back together, though; she knew he didn't hate her now, if he was afraid of the same thing. Her heart melted a little for him and she almost smiled, but anger was still hot. If you don't mind, I'd like to have a say in what I do and where I go. she said pointedly, in anger uncommon, if not downright rare for her. I think I have that much right, even if you all seem not to care about what I would prefer, before going and throwing me about. she added, looking at Silvera. After that, though, she sighed and just relaxed. I was going to ask you that myself, Cobra. she said in a soft, wounded voice, allowing those she loved to actually see how much she really was hurt in a sober state. It's not that I don't want to be a part of the clan, Sil. I just need a break, a chance to just come to my senses, see what I really want, away from Alara and FAinn. I'll miss you, too, but I need it.. To recover, to put myself back together. And since Cobra needs me, I'll not hesitate in going any longer. she added, glancing at the emerald alphess. Truth be told, she didn't look good. At all. Cocking her head in concern, she regarded her for a few moments, before nodding slightly, She'd have time to examine her later, but this had to be sorted out. Now. And I can't recover on my own. I need something to prop me up, before I crash and die on the ground. she now said, turning to look directly into Zil'caron's golden eyes. How could I not love you..? she asked him softly, her voice mellowing even more as she shook her head, stepping closer to him to lick his face tenderly. So.. Sil... Thanks for coming out here. I'll see you soon, OK sis...? she said in a slightly teary voice, nuzzling and licking her. She couldn't manage more goodbyes, because they only added more leaden weight onto her already burdened, fatigued heart. She turned towards Cobra and smiled faintly. Shall we...? |

Cobra nodded as Silvera told her that Aries could leave. And that Silvera wouldn't want Cobra to go without a healer in her labor. She looked back at Aries as she started to get mad. Saying that she had the right to go where she wanted and do what she wanted. Cobra fully understood her but didn't think that Aries had heard her. Aries, I wanted to talk to Silvera about it first. I have no right asking you without consulting her, she is the alphess after all. And, I was going to ask if you wanted to stay right after I got my answer from Sil. I am sorry that you thought we were making the decisions for you. Cobra stood back and silently listened as Aries taled to Zil, asking how she couldn't love him. She looked him over, he seemed like a nice dragon on his own. Although, he wasn't to her liking. Maybe Nalt's thoughts were right, she went mainly for dragons with uncommon eyes. But, everything else about him seemed good. Aries had made a good choice for a mate, since size and looks didn't matter. Well, looks like Aries wants you to come Zil. She gave him a small smile and looked at Sil. Feels good to be able to see you again Sil. I understand how Aries feels and I don't think we should make her prolong her goodbyes either. I guess we shall talk again, hopefully soon. If you can ever find the time, you can always visit me and my eggs. I am sorry that I never was able to visit yours, but you know how my life was. Thanks again for helping with this, and me. She gave a slight nod to Sil and looked over to Aries. I am ready to go, as I see you are too. Come Zil, if you are coming. She turned towards her clan and wondered when she should tell her what had happened fully. She would say soon, but not too soon. |

(and Silvera takes her leave) Silvera listened as Aries woke up and had come back at them for talking about what she should do. Both her and Cobra had brought up good points, but they should have ultimately waited to see what she wanted to do. When Aries spoke, she was livid and rightfully so. I am Sorry Aries, I wasn't trying to be upsetting or anything. Cobra merely asked a question and I gave an answer. I wasn't trying to push for anything. You of all know that I wouldn't willing push my only living sister away. she told her nuzzling her as she told her that it wasn't that she wanted to leave, she just needed some time away from Alara and Finn, and now that she was aware that Cobra had a major problem, she felt it even more neccessary to stay. I understand, and you couldn't have chosen a more welcoming home. I know this because this is where I lived for nine years after Akornia was murdered before I could return home. They will help you get over this, and hopefully soon. she said with a gentle lick. Cobra, Zil, you both keep an eye on her. I know that Kukiron is save, but that beast had been dormant for too long. It's bound to show itself up again and I have no idea where or when. All three of you be careful. she told them emphasizing the last statement. She loved all three of them to death, if anything happened, especially to Either Aries or Zil, she'd have a serious mess on her hands. Because then not only would she be greatly hurt, but she would have to help the other cope as well, which would be next to impossible. With that, she gave them a final nod telling them that she loved all of them and took to the skies in direction to return to her clan. Zil'caron stood there waiting as Aries yelled at everyone for trying to discuss what she should do without her consent in the matter. It didn't surprise him. In fact he would have been more surprised if she had just let it be. No, none of that surprised him, but he did notice how she was avoiding him. His heart sank with each passing line that he went ignored. He listened as they talked about letting her make her own decision and how she needed to be away from Alara and Finn, and how Cobra was getting ready to lay eggs, and that everyone else was in danger from that thing that they had fought in the volcano. Well her and Nira, he was shot from the volcano and unconscious. Everything seemed to ignore him. HE almost gave up hope and just flew aware then and there. He froze though when Aries moved right in front of him and asked how she could not love him. Her voice was as soft and mellow as it had been for the entire conversation. HE could see in her eyes that she was being truthful, and a small tear escaped from his when he licked her. He went from being completely mortified to relieved and the feeling over whelmed him. He really though he had lost the most important thing in his life. When Cobra told him to come if he was coming, he shook the tears from his eyes, and started to follow next to Aries. If she needed support, he would be there for her. After what he went through to keep her, he wasn't going to let her die out here. Not without him dying first. |
