Kodak wondered around, looking at all of the wyrmlings, wishing he had a mate and hatchlings of his own. He spoted one that caught his eyes. A black dragon with a red belly. He saw a female near him but no males anywhere. I wonder where is father is.... He then remebered what had gone on not to long before. A male with a wyrmling of his own had intruded and there was a fight between a male form the clan and his wyrmling. It was a red and black wyrmling.... He looked at the wyrmling again, realising that this was the one that had lost his father. He walked over to the little one, wondering how well he could speak. Hello little one, whats your name? He hated not knowing what the name of his own clan members name was. Although you didn't really know the name of a wyrmling if you didn't have a mate and had no reason to learn their names. There is also the factor that if they arn't yours you don't really here their names that often, when you don't listen, until they are older and possibly have a clan position or have showed yourself worthy of the clan. He then looked at the dark purple claws. Sweet.....

When Argon noticed the other dragon he entered a defensive stance. Not knowing whether the approaching dragon was a friend or an enemy. When the approaching dragon asks his name he gets out of the defensive stance realizing that he must me a member of the clan. My name is Argon. What is yours? Argon then took a quick double take and realizes that the other dragon looked a bit like is father. When he noticed this he start to cry a bit still saddened by the death of his father. He is then overtaken with anger remembering the promise he made his dad right before he died. I will get revenge father! Argon mumbles under his breath but loud enough to hear. If he wasn't so worried about protecting me he would not have died. Argon thought out loud. As Argon said that he started to cry again.

Kodak sat down next to him after the yound dragon got out of his threataning stance. You have a nice name Argon. My name is Kodak, I am the lead scout of this clan. He bent his wing down to wipe off the tears form Argon's face when he could see his face turn into a look of anger. He just barely heard what Argon said and decided to stay out of it. If he didn't protect you you would have died and we wouldn't be talking right now. And then I would be bored and your father would have regretted the rest of his life. Then what would happen? He lowered his wing to hug Argon. He held Argon tight, giving him warmth. Want to go do something? Like look at the sand dunes watching for prey? I could teach you a bit about hunting. |

I think that he could have went on without me. I cant protect my mother all on my own. Argon said as Kodak hugged him. Sure I want to go to the dunes and watch for prey. You are never too young to learn how to hunt. especially now in my situation. Argon said as he started to follow Kodak to the dunes. So what in particular are we looking for? Argon asked as they got close to the dunes. Hopefully they don't think of me as food for them! Argon said kinda jokingly but still with a bit of seriousness in his voice. I will do what ever you ask me to. He said as they reached the dunes.

He couldn't live without you. And if you died I would be alone with nothing to do on this glorious day. Also, you have the clan protecting your mother all the way. He looked down at Argon and smiled when he said that he would like to go to the dunes to hunt. They started the walk towards the dunes when Argon started to ask a bunch of questions. Looks like I picked an inquisitive dragon. Thats good. He smiled to himself, wondering how his kids might turn out if he ever had any. Toady we will be looking for small animals such as rabbits and maybe some deer. They wont pray on you. Im here. He smiled and looked around close to the forest. He smelled the air, looking for any trace of smalle game. He didn't want to go after the big ones yet. He smelled a lizard and crouched down, making sure not to let his sclaes rub together. Get into this position and dont make a sound. See that lizard over there? Try to get it, and if you dont, there are plenty of lizards out there. Edited by Cobra, Nov 10 2009, 06:29 PM.

When Argon sees the hunting stance that Kodak got into Argon tries to get into that same position but he fell and ended up doing a four legged split. This hurts really bad Kodak.Argon said as he tired to get back up. I dont know how you do that without falling! Argon said after getting back to his feet. The lizard that they were hunting was long gone by then. I failed at hunting. but its also only my first time so. Now what Kodak? Argon asked as he spotted something that caught his eye. But all that he saw was a quick flash of light and it was gone. What was that? Argon asked Kodak after the flash of light happened. Kodak watched as Argon tried to get into the hunting position. He then sawa little bit of sand move. Thats all it takes... He saw Argon slip and fall into a split. He cringed as he thought of the pain that, that had brougt. Well, it takes practice and it also takes the caution so that the sand doesn't move. He saw the lizard slink away and ignored it, lettig it live to prosper for more generations. Well, we could maybe go to a better place for hunting. He noticed something flash in the corner of his eye and turned sharpley, ready to attack until he saw it was just a dragon getting a meal the easy way. Using his energy magic to kill the prey. That better not be a hunter being that lazy.... That is a dra- He couldn't finish talking before Argon dashed after a rabbit. He walked after them making sure Argon didnt get into any trouble and flew ahead of them. He landed in front of the rabbit, sending it running towards Argon. Wait until the rabbit gets close enough, then try to pounce on it! He watched as the rabbit got closer and closer to Argon. He knew this should be an easy catch and it would be something Argon could bring home to show his mother. |

When Argon saw the rabit running at him he waited till it was close enough then pounced on it. The rabbit almost dodged but Argon managed to get a grip on the tail. I caught it! Argon exclaned quickly using one of his claws to kill the rabbit. Are we going to hunt some more now or are we going head back to the rest of the clan before night falls and my mom starts to worry about where I am? Argon said as it started to get late. I don't want to keep my mom waiting too long. Argon decided to sit and wait for Kodak's answer. The sunset is so nice when there is nothing to obstruct your view.Argon said as he looked at the sun as it set. Edited by RamGang, Dec 15 2009, 12:48 PM.

(A prum is a dragon purr) Kodak let out a loud prum as Argon caught the rabbit. He looked at the sky and knew what could be lurking around, waiting for the cover of darkness. Well, it is getting dark and this is a dangerous place in the dark. And I don't want to keep you out too late for your mother. We should probably head back, you can even share your bunny with her. we always let a dragon keep his or her first catch to share it with whomever they want. He looked in the direction of the clan. He saw things at the edge of the woods, looking at them with blood stained eyes. His gaurd went up immediatly. He started to walk, making sure Argon was walking with him. At night he saw everything that was a potential danger. He thought tonight he should be on his watch, more danger than normal seems to be out. he then remebered the flash and thought back to the dragon. He didn't remeber that dragon being in the clan. We will fly from here. Something is wrong and we need to get back quick. Nothing will happen though, I'm here. He smiled at Argon and motioned for him to jump onto Kodak's back. (the next day in the rp you can teach argon how to fly) Ok Kodak!Argon says while he jumps onto Kodak's back. So what do you think something is hunting us? Argon asks while they are flying. What was that............... Argon sees another flash of light then with a supressed memory flooding his brain he passes out on kodak's back. Dad no dont fight i wont be able to survive without you." Im sorry son but i have to do this to protect my hunting grounds. Father please just let him have them there is another unclaimed area over the next dune. I faught ti get this area and i plan on keeping it now go! and before argons father could react he got blasted with a bolt of lightning from the other dragon. Then Argon ran away like his father asked him to and also to warn the clan. |

As soon as Argon was on Kodak's back he flew off the ground to see a huge creater silhouetted in black where Argon was just standing. It let out a screech and he saw more of those creatures come out, only to walk away as he got too for for them to see him. As he flew home he could feel the darkness close around him, his mouth going dry and him getting unusually tired. The flash of light happened again and he looked around, only to see nothing. He also felt Argon's heartrate slow down. When he looked back he saw Argon passed out between his wings. As he neared the dens he could see Argon's mom waiting and looking worried. As he landed he turned his head to grab Argons and lower him to the ground. What did you do to him?! Why isn't he awake, he was fine when you left! Calm down, he seems to be tired thats all. He fell asleep on my back on the ride home. He sure is a heavy sleeper too. He tried to reasure her, hoping she took his lie. He walked him over to where they sleep and set him down. He cruled up next to him and watched his mom curl up next to him on the other side, eyeing Kodak, making sure he didn't try anything. He soon dozed off under her watchful eye, somewhat feeling like a father. He almost wished it was another female with him, not Argon's mother. Not knowing what would happen with Nira later on. |

The next morning Argon wakes up and notices Kodak asleep next to him. Huh. Hey mom look at what I caught yesterday! Argon shows his mom the rabbit he caught. Hey Kodak! Argon wakes him up by jumping onto his back. What are we going to do today? Are we going to go back out hunting? Argon asks after Kodak is fully awake. Then Argon remembered that today was the day he hatched. Mom can Kodak teach me how to fly? Please you can watch if you like. Sure Argon if that is what you want. Yes! Kodak lets get going! Argon said as he fell over a rock trying to get back to his mom. Ouch that hurt! Argon said as he laughed the pain off. So where are you going to teach me how to fly? just don't drop me form the air and expect me to fly or die! Argon said as he chuckled at bit with what he said at the end. This is going to be a really good day to learn. There is no wind and not a single cloud in the sky. Today will be a good day!

(In this topic, breeding season is just now starting) Kodak had a nice dream while he slept. He had a mate, a family of his own. They had a good life, the Jorthians never existed, the mate was Nira, and the desert was less brutal. Until the white dragon attacked, jumping onto his back. He hot up as Argon landed on his back, trying to make it look playful when he realised who it was. He could tell because the weight was lighter and he could hear Argon's voice from his back. We could go hunting, although there are a lot of things to do... He said groggely. Then he heard something he didn't expect. Argon wanted to learn how to fly. Wait, what?! Am I going to be able to do this? Well, I'll try, don't want to let the kid down. He sort of looks up to me now... He smiled. Sure thing Argon, It's a special day the day a dragon learns how to fly. He got up and skook the sand from his scales. He just wondered how much Argon's mother liked him. Not too many mothers liked it when a random male that wasn't her mate came and started being like a father to him. As he started to walk off, he saw multiple females staring at him and smiling. Oh no...breeding season stated a bit ago didn't it? Please help me through this whoever is out there... He any didn't look at any of them and just walked by, making sure Argon was following behind. He also saw out of the corner of his eye, Argon's mother started to follow them. |

(a few means a mob of em XD kodak is going to have fun.) As Argon was walking with Kodak he noticed that a few of the females besides his mom was walking with them. Um Kodak dont turn around or you might not like what you see. Argon said as he was walking. I wonder where Kodak is taking me. as they continue walking Argon sees a dragon flying over head. Kodak you know all the dragons in the clan right? Well then who is that flying overhead? argon said as the dragon looks like he is about to swoop down at Argon. I think that dragon wants to kill me! Argon said as the dragon begins to dive down to try and hit Argon. Damn can this get any worse! Argon is frozen in fear all he can do is look at the dragon nearing closer to him when he realizes that the dragon that is trying to kill him killed his father. That.... dragon.... killed my..... FATHER Argon stamers out before becoming enraged. |

Kodak froze for a split second when Argon told him he wouldn't like what he saw if he looked behind him. Argon was right, when he looked back and saw the females he just groaned. He looked at each of them and growled lowly, letting them know not to bother him. The only one he didn't look at or growl at was Argon's mother. He wanted to stay on her good side. They still fallowed him. Their scents wreathed around his nose, teasing him, making him actually want them. That all disapeared when he remembered Argon and his mother. He turned to face the magain. Can't you see I'm busy? And I'm not interested in any of you, so please, leave us alone. He turned back around and started walking again, satisfied when he heard only Argon's, his own, and Argons' mother's footsteps. But then he heard the wings moving in the air. He looked up when Argon asked if he knew all the dragons in the clan. No I don't... He growled when he saw the oer dragon, in a hostile position, it had started to dive towards Argon. He immediatley stepped over Argon like he was Kodak's very own child. He let out a roar and swiped at the dragon, hiting him on the nose. He could tell Argon was pissed, seeing the dragon that had killed his father. All the more reason to kill him. As the dragon landed on the ground and started to advance, Kodak shot a stream of fast, sharp water at him, cutting off a few scales, making it easier to get to his skin. Argon, stay behind me! I don't want you getting hurt, run as soon as you see a chance, I'm going to need help! He moved forward a little, not wanting to fall on Argon.  (when dragon's attack XD)No I am staying here. I dont want to lose another person that I would call my family. Argon says while standing his ground. This fight is mine but I cant do it alone Kodak. Argon says while trying to get around to a position to help and not just be in the way. Crap what am I saying am I that enraged. I have to regain control before I get myself killed. Argon was thinking while all of this was going on. Finally I get my chance for REVENGE. Argon growls out the last word of it. Then goes in to swipe at the dragon from the side hoping to get the drop on him. I WILL KILL YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID TO MY FATHER! (SRy it short did it at school) |

Kodak growled in frustration when Argon said he wouldn't leave. He did understand why though and didn't enforce what he said. Is this what it was like for Argon's father? Is this what I will feel like whenever my family is in trouble, whatever family I may have? He then remembered that Argon's mother had followed them, but when he looked back she was gone, trying to get help. He watched in horror as Argon went towards the dragon trying to hit him. Argon did hit his side, but the other dragon was also quick, swiping at Argon. Kodak did't have time to think before he was launching forward, roaring loudly, like a father who lost his child. His claws dug into the dragons side and his teeth were sinking into the dragons neck. He was too fast for the dragon to protect himslef, but also too enraged to get a good hold before he was thrown off into a sand dune. The sand fell over him, covering him completly. He couldn't see anything, his vision had gone black, the impact more hurtful than someone would think. When he finally was awake enough to move, he found that he couldn't. He struggled, thinking of Argon, and burst out of the sand roaring. The sand floated around in the air, covering him from view. He could feel that Argon was hurt, and chaneled his healing magic towards him. When the sand cleared he found the dragon over Argon, ready to strike. Kodak launched forwards again, knowking the dragon off of Argon while he stood over him yet again. If you harm ANYONE in this clan again, you will have a slow painful death. When you are alive, I will leave you begging for death, and when you beg, I will leave you sitting there, suffering until you finally die with vultures pecking at every part of your body. |

(using the library XD wont be on as often for right now Internet at home when down!) Is stunned that he is still alive. "How am I still alive? " Argon asked with a confused look on his face. "Where did that dragon go i am in no way, shape, or form done with him!" he growled while looking around trying to spot him. "So........ what are we going to do now? I think we just wasted today only because I'm hurt and you are hurt." he asked. Tries to get up and griminaces in pain as he tries. "Damn I dont think I can move right now! I can but it just hurts to much to." he says laying back down. "Was the fight that rough on me or was I just out of my league." he thinks out loud. "Note to self dont get into a fight with a dragon bigger then yourself." "That was a rush though. I've never have been that angry before in my life. But I never want to get like that again only because i fear for my own safety." He says with a chuckle. |

Kodak looked down at Argon as the dragon dissapeared. Argon, you will get a chance to get him soon enough. Something tells me he will be back. Kodak arched his back, stretching while relieving some of the pain from the impact. Argon was right, they were both hurt and in no condition to do anything anymore. What they needed was rest, and someone to tell the story to. When something like this happened, you needed to at least boast to someone. Well, if you weren't dead anyways. Kodak heard Argon thinking to himself about the fight being rough or out of his league. I'd you were out of your league. You are a bit young to be fighting a dragon that size, you are lucky to have survived this. He smiled at him, knowing that everything was safe for the time being. Kodak gave a small frown. I don't think I've ever been that angry before either... And I don't think I want to be that angry ever again, I lose everything I learned about fighting. She gave a small shake of his head and gestured for Argon to get on his back. Well, no learning how to fly today, but, at least you can enjoy being up in the air until you learn. He lay down so Argon could climb on easily. |

Ok! Argon says as he hops onto Kodak's back. Once they were up in the air Argon said, I know that he will be back and angrier than before. We will need to be ready for it next time or else it might be worse than what happened today. As they were flying over the dunes all Argon could do was look up at the sky as the sun was setting. I think I need to learn to control my anger better or I might even attack you next time because of me just being in rage, or I could do some completely Idiotic and do more harm than good. He says as they were getting closer to the rest of the clan. I just hope next time that maybe we can get the jump on him. Argon is too exhausted to continue talking and just sits there quietly for the rest of the flight back to the clan. When they get there Argon says, Do you want to fill them in on what happened or do you want me to. |
