Jura turned and faced the young dragon. "You have some rare talents, young one. I am truely impressed and greatful. You have brought a peace I never have known. For that, I deeply thank you. You should probably know. My name is Jura Nyala." She turned her head towards Lumi. "So there was a spirit around me. I think I know who it was. And I'm glad you got rid of him. He wasn' a good influence." She snorted, then laughed as flames tickled her nose. "Hehehe! Oh! Sorry..... I'm good with water, but not with fire. Speaking of which...." She pulled up soe water, and made a globe. Then she made it rise up to catch the sun. As the sunlight hit it, the globe exploded with color. The ground was covered in small patchs of light. "That's an easy trick I learned. It's fun to show the young ones. Not that I'd ever have young ones." She looked over at the young dragon and smiled. "But if I did, I would love to have a young one like you. You truely are amazing."

(my muse is thinly spread between school assignments and the like, so posting quality is slightly compromised. And yes it's short, I just can't get into being Lumi today.) Lumi shook her head. No, no, you misunderstand. That spirit was obviously one that had just found you and was studying your abilities. If it had been following you, it would've already taken you the moment it could. She continued listening as Jura showed the trick with the water orb and was talking about young ones. Lumi nodded. I have no young ones either, I haven't even bothered to look for a mate. I just don't think I'm ready, and besides, being able to see spirits seems a bit of a turn off, yes? Lumi chuckled and curled her tail around her again. (Not to mention when the spirits decide to possess my mind.) |

Rain smiled as the dragoness complimented her abilities. She instantly became happy that her singing was appreciated. She nodded as the dragoness thanked Rain and told Rain her name, Jura Nyala. (OOC: It was Jura Nyala, not Jura Nyra, right?) She laughed as she saw how the fire almost exited Jura's nose. Rain's eyes widened when she saw Jura's water magic ability. She watched every movement that Jura made and carefully examined the globe. She abruptly smiled when the globe exploded with color. Jura told her that it was fun to show that trick to young ones, but that she'd never have them. She also told Rain that if she would have young ones she'd love to have Rain. She smiled and then looked over to Lumi. She started to say that the spirithad just found Jura and that it was testing her abilities. Rain loved to learn, and she was amazed by everything Lumi knew about spirits. She passively listened as she tried to do the trick Jura had done seconds ago. She made water into a perfectly round orb, and made it hover in the air to a spot where the sunlight would hit it. Then, the orb shone all the imaginable colors on them. Rain laughed. She was glad she was closer to mastering water magic. |

(Yeah. I fixed the name. I feel like an idiot for messing up my own character's name....) "Wow!" Jura said, as the young dragon copied her trick exactly. "That took me a while to learn! You are a rare dragon indeed." she turned and looked at Lumi. "So this spirit chose to approach me just now? Then what was the presence that I've always felt? It's been lurking over my shoulder, and knawing at my mind. I don't know what it is. It's similar to a spot you can't scratch. You know what I'm saying?" She tilted her head upwards, looking at the globe. "I wonder........ young one, if it is okay with you, I would like to see if you can do something." She looked over at the falls and started to summon water. "Just copy what I do. I mean, if that's what you want to do." Why do I feel like I'm talking to my Alpha? This one has an amazing aura.... She started to spin the water into threads, then twisted it upwards. A net of threads started to appear. Haven't done this trick in a while. I hope I can do it! "I don't fight as much as I used to, so I use my magic for things like this lately. But I can't talk in this next stage, or I'll lose concentration." She brought the web down and started to seperate the threads slowly. As she did so, the middle threads tightened and became an interwoven ball. Pulling out the last thread, she lifted the ball up and rotated the threads. The effect was astonishing. The whole clearing was lit up with multicolored lights, as if something had changed the sud. Suddenly, she lost control of the ball, and it fell, splashing down. Huh? What the.... "What just happened? I've never lost contol of it at that stage! That's the stage I mastered. Something is wrong." She turned to Lumi. "Do you see anything? Please tell me if you do! This is important!" |
